Funding for training in England

A range of incentives and financial support are available both during and after your training.

All financial support is subject to conditions and although you are not guaranteed funding, you may be eligible for financial support for:

undergraduate initial teacher training (this includes the BEd, BA with qualified teacher status (QTS) and BSc with QTS)
postgraduate initial teacher training (this includes the postgraduate certificate in education and school centred initial teacher training)
employment based initial teacher training (this includes the Graduate Teacher Programme, the Return to Teach Programme and the Overseas Trained Teacher Programme)

If you complete a postgraduate initial teacher training course and take up a permanent position in a maintained school or non-maintained special school in England, you could also be eligible for a golden hello.
