According to the Henley Standard, the gold medals, which coincided with the current Olympic Games in Beijing, were issued to pupils between 11 and 15 years old for academic accomplishments and progress, as well as a range of activities done for the community.
Emmer Green's Celebration Event also highlighted the school's achievements nationally, as it received the Artsmark Gold Award, the Headteacher's Award and the Healthy Schools Award after recently impressing judges across a variety of criteria.
The news provider added that the event, hosted by headteacher Tim Royle, was also attended by Reading FC defender Alex Pearce and Bill Harper of the Emmer Green Residents Association, both of whom presented awards at the function.
It was revealed this month by the Mid Devon Star that 80 per cent of the county's 364 schools had achieved national healthy school status.
