Local authorities (LAs) are key delivery partners for the TDA. We allocate funding to all 150 LAs in England. There are a number of funding streams offered to local authorities, including:
- grants to support the training and development of school support staff – including the higher level teaching assistants (HLTA) programme and the support work in schools (SWiS) suite of qualifications;
- workforce modernisation and development; and
- golden hellos for newly qualified school teachers.
