About the parent support adviser project

The parent support adviser (PSA) role is expanding nationally following a successful two-year pilot programme involving 20 local authorities. Funding and training support is provided by the DCSF and the TDA. Find out more about the development of the PSA role.

Induction and initial training

The TDA offers a training programme for PSAs covering local induction, generic children’s workforce and PSA role-specific initial training modules. Browse and download training materials.

Parent support qualifications

Two vocational level 3 training programmes offer valuable continuing professional development opportunities for PSAs and others in similar roles. Learn more about the qualifications and how they relate to the induction and initial training programme.
