The principal aim of the Training & Development Agency for Schools (TDA) is to secure an effective school workforce that raises educational standards and improves children’s life chances.

We want an experienced colleague from the field of education to join our team of consultants, working mainly with training schools in the London area. You will know how training and development for the whole school workforce can contribute to school improvement, and apply this knowledge in helping training schools to fulfil their key roles.

The project will start on 30 March 2009 and run to 31 December 2010.

It is estimated that the value of this work will be within band: C

Banding:

A up to £50, 000.00
B £50, 001.00 to £144, 000.00
C £144, 001.00 to £500, 000.00
D £500, 001.00 to £1, 000, 000.00
E over £1, 000, 000.00

In-school variation project – consultancy support

The TDA and the National College for School Leadership work to raise children's standards of achievement and wellbeing by improving the training and development of the whole school workforce and ensuring excellent school leadership. To support this, we plan to trial a new 'toolkit' that aims to improve performance and practice by helping schools to 'learn from their best' and so narrow the gap between high and low performing departments.

We invite tenders from organisations to help us monitor and support the schools chosen for this project. The contractor will act as their first point of contact and will liaise with the TDA, reporting on progress, identifying any issues arising, and providing final evaluation and analysis of the project.
