The Government is committed to recruiting, training and supporting HLTAs specialising in secondary mathematics or science.
The mathematics and science specialisms are aligned with the existing HLTA programme. Trainees work towards achieving HLTA status, while simultaneously completing specialist subject knowledge and pedagogy (both theory and practice).
